Newspaper: 'Bee Cave Road Paving Complete', 1931
A short news item announcing that the Travis County contractor had completed paving of Bee Cave Road from the Austin city limits west to the ridge above the Colorado River. The article notes new automobile traffic on the route and the opening of "a fashionable new roadhouse" on the ridge — almost certainly the rehabilitated Moose Head Lodge that becomes the subject of The Night Bee Cave Road Was Paved.
A scan of the original microfilm clipping will replace this placeholder once the Austin History Center provides a copy.
